Hong Kong: 16 September, 2011 – To celebrate Tsuen Wan New Town 50th anniversary, Yuen Yuen Institute (圓玄學院) sponsored pyrotechnic display (圓玄金禧煙火耀荃城) over Rambler Channel outside Tsuen Wan waterfront promenade.
The 20-minute fireworks show divided into 8 section, starting at 8:30 pm attracting more than 45,000 people attended.
Tsuen Wan is located in the south-western part of the New Territories. It covers an area of about 6,000 hectares. As the first new town developed in Hong Kong, Tsuen Wan was an industrial and commercial centre in the early days. With rapid development over the years, it has evolved into a commercial, residential and tourist area.
